The next generation DataFlex is in the making, which will include support for 64-bit and Unicode. What will change, and how will changes affect the work for DataFlex developers? Let’s have a peek to see what the project entails, and what to expect.

RESTful API's with 19.1 14:30 - 15:00 Mike Peat, Unicorn Interglobal LtD

RESTful APIs are a hot topic these days and everybody needs to have one. While it has been possible to create these in earlier versions of DataFlex, the new cHttpRequestHandler class in DataFlex 19.1 makes doing this much simpler. On top of this, Mike has built a library of classes which make building such an API quick and easy. Mike will show you how a basic API can be developed using these in just a few minutes.

Reporting for Future 15:00- 15:30 Emil Stojanov, Little Raven

Emil has designed a new concept for reporting. He and Bartek have worked out a new set of classes to have one, general base for reporting and report integration. It allows for using any database, or data resource (like RDS) and it works the same for Windows, and Web. It is a first version, put in production in project Emil works on, but we want this technology to be in the DataFlex Enterprise version, later.

DataFlex… What Else? 15:45 - 16:30 Nick Nikijuluw, Data Access Europe BV

DataFlex Studio offers all you need to develop powerful applications. We would like to interact with the audience to find out what the needs of programmers are, outside of the current DataFlex toolbox. We will share some thoughts and ideas, and feel free to polish up, and bring your own wish list for SCANDUC!
